The Big Reveal …

Should the groom see the bride before ceremony on their wedding day? More and more couples are breaking the old superstition that it is bad luck to see each other before ceremony and are choosing to have a meet and greet because it makes “the big moment” at the alter a lot less nerve-racking.

A “meet and greet” is when the bride and groom are able to see each other before ceremony, share a special, first glance moment and also ensure enough time for photos.

Take a look at some of my favorite meet and greet photos … I just loved how the anticipation and bliss of the moment was captured in each one of these!

Laura & Jerry 4/17/11 …

We are so excited the rain cleared on Sunday and Jerry and Laura were able to have a beautiful, 60-degree weather wedding ceremony! After ceremony, their guests enjoyed a fishing-themed reception! Each table was named after a fish and guests were invited to find their seats by matching the fish on their place card with the one displayed at each table. My favorite touch to this fun theme was their cake topper … take a look!

Jessica & Brian 4/8/11 …

This past Friday, everyone here at The English Manor went gaga over all the pretty little details from Jessica and Brian’s wedding reception. The pink and green bouquets, the Eiffel Tower cake topper, and menu cards proclaiming “bon appetit” were just a few of the noteworthy details we were all smitten over! They also had a “photo wall” which kept their guests entertained for hours! What a unique and creative idea! Here's some pictures of this fabulous wedding ceremony and reception courtesy of Carrie Roberts! Photos Courtesy of Carrie Roberts, who is now with Elite Digital Images.

What a Spectacular Weekend!

This weekend has been amazing at The English Manor! To start the weekend off on Saturday, Rebecca and Larry celebrated their wedding with family and friends. It was a blast and I loved how a website account was created for everyone to share their photos from the evening … what a great idea! Here are some pictures I took for you to see!

On Sunday, the weekend concluded with the Garden State Film Festival’s Awards Dinner. Here’s what Lisa Truesdale, our owner, had to say about the event …

“I would like to applaud everyone who made the 9th Annual Garden State Film Festival so successful, especially Diane Raver. Sitting in the audience on opening night, I absolutely loved the opening film, “Journey of Hope”, and thought it was an excellent way to start the weekend. I'm in awe of how Diane has made this event such a success and I am so proud she chose to have the Awards Dinner at The English Manor!”

Once again, thank you to Diane and congratulations for receiving the 2011 Alice Guy Blache Award!
