Stepping Into Fall.......

I can officially say autumn has approached The English Manor.  I have seen many subtle changes
that have left me smitten! From the use of the fall foliage decor to the gorgeous flowers planted on the grounds, The EM is at it's prettiest!

While all the weddings of this past weekend were extremely gorgeous! I would like to share a few details from each wedding. On Friday night, "Mother Nature" on their side for Jill & RJ to start with  a beautiful garden ceremony.  AS stated before, the fresh flowers with fall foliage popping where beautiful.  My favorite was the place card setting table that the bridesmaids created. They used two glass vases  wrapped with a festive ribbon filled them with corn kernels and had branches protruding thru the top.  SO SO Creative! I also loved the tiny pumpkins they laid out among the place cards.. This was adorable!!  They also brought two carved pumpkins to placed outside during cocktail hour as you can see in the photo.  This really added the final touch to their autumn theme!

Saturday's wedding with Lizzette and Jared, what a delightful day. Before the ceremony began, guests were welcomed to hot apple cider as they crossed the bridge to our wrought iron Gazebo. Fall was definitely in the air  as guests then made their way to the outdoor cocktail hour.  They sipped on cocktails, and enjoyed a variety of our delicious food. Just to mention a few...  Eggplant Rollotini, Calamari, Fresh Veggies, Seasonal Fruits and of course our homemade warm crab dip..is your mouth watering yet? Mine was!  I always enjoy watching how guests here at The EM enjoy our cocktail hour.  It's a great start to the reception.

A big Congratulation's from our staff to this weekends Bride & Grooms!!!!

Delicious foods at some amazing stations!

This weekend was all about our gourmet food stations during cocktail hour! Our outside deck was filled with a fabulous variety of food for our guests to enjoy. From our lobster station to our asian station, people could not stop themselves to go back for seconds!

The Asian Station! Vegetable stir fry being freshly prepared and served along with sushi, spring rolls and edamame pot stickers.... yummy!

The Lobster Station! This newly designed station was a huge hit with our guests.  The lobster tail kabobs looked good but tasted even better!

The Fish Station! Our lovely Ice Sculpture surrounded by salmon lox and smoked white fish.

Last but not least, The Mediterranean Station! Who doesn't love pasta? Guests also enjoyed our stuffed peppers and olives.

Check out these pork chops! These were a popular hors d'oeuvre being passed around during the cocktail hour as well. Mmmm.. just the sight of these make me hungry. Another fantastic weekend here at the English Manor. Everyone knows that good food makes a good party!

Ideas I'm Currently Obsessed With ...

I've chosen some photos from recent weddings of ideas I simply loved! First, I absolutely adored Laura and Jeremy's ceremony sign ... a great idea to unite two families together!

Looking for a great bridal party gift? These personalized hangers were given to Laura's bridesmaids and MOB to hang their dresses on.

A great way to incorporate your guy's interests into your wedding day is a groom's cake. I loved how Kara and Dave had a replica of Dave's corvette made for his groom's cake.

These are just a few of the awesome ideas I've seen recently. I also LOVED how Jennifer and Tim released butterflies at the end of their ceremony. This was also incorporated into their reception. A donation was made a local butterfly reserve in honor of the couple. So sweet! We are looking forward to so many more summer weddings!

Memorial Weekend Celebrations!

I'm sure everyone is dying to hear all the lovely details from this past weekend's four weddings (and Josephine's 100th birthday celebration!!!). On Friday, Kristin & Eugene had the cutest favors. Homemade and scrumptious ... Eugene's grandmother did a fabulous job making their chocolate favors. Guest also enjoyed the music of a steel drummer during cocktail hour. On Saturday afternoon, Lauren and Dan enjoyed a warm and sunny cocktail hour and along with their wedding cake, Lauren was surprised with a gluten free cupcake tower (made by Enticing Icing). On Saturday evening, Minerva and Nick's guests enjoyed a surprise performance from a mariachi band ... it was enjoyed by all! Sunday afternoon continued with Josephine's 100th birthday ... can you believe it?! It was truly a momentous occasion to be enjoyed by all! The President and Governor even sent letters of congratulations! That Sunday evening concluded with Danielle and Allen's ceremony and reception. Their centerpieces were stunning and I loved the touches of pink. Guests enjoyed dancing till the night was over!

Bursting with Beauty and Excitement!

What can I say? Another great weekend has flown by and as always I am ready to share all the great details. First off ... Nancy has been busy planting our gardens with beautiful flowers! This weekend was just bursting with beauty and excitement! On Friday, Megan and Tim really wowed their guests from the start. Their cocktail hour was enhanced with a mashed potato bar complete with 9 fixings and guests could sip on a lemon drop martini ... Megan & Tim's signature drink. On Saturday afternoon, Jennifer & Anthony incorporated a peacock theme into their reception. This was seen on the place card table and in their wedding cake. It added a real touch of pizazz! Saturday evening concluded with Kristen and Drew’s wine themed reception. Kristen’s mom made all the wine bottle centerpieces and the cute cork place card board herself! (See the pictures below). On Sunday, Karen and Matthew had a beautiful ceremony and reception. I really liked how Matt was blindfolded for their "first look" and when Matt took his blindfold off and saw Karen in her stunning gown, their photographer captured the moment … it was so sweet!

Married in May ...

This past weekend, we had another fabulous series of gorgeous weddings. On Friday, Heather and Will had the cutest idea ... each table had a different name of a song and throughout the night the DJ played each table's song. It was a crowd pleaser! On Saturday afternoon, Chrissie and Paul had their ceremony at Avon beach and continued the beach theme throughout their reception. The weather couldn't have been more perfect for a fun and festive jersey shore fete! On Saturday evening, Kelly and Anthony brought in their own centerpieces designed by the bride herself! They were mini calla lilies in vases filled with water which had candles floating on top. Sooo pretty! Their wedding cake also cascaded with beautiful flowers.

Take a look at some of the pictures from this past weekend below!
